Oncologic impact of lymph node dissection for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma: A propensity score-matched study
Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery Aug 21, 2018
Kim SH, et al. - The impact of lymph node dissection during surgical resection for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma was determined via a retrospective review the records from 170 patients who underwent radical hepatectomy for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma from January 2000 to December 2014. Outcomes suggest that improvement in oncologic outcomes for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma could be achieved via performing radical surgery including an adequate lymph node dissection area and suitable harvested lymph nodes as overall survival was significantly longer in the lymph node dissection group.
