Petrangelo A, et al. - The rate of cannabis use during pregnancy in the United States was determined and its adjusted effect on obstetric and neonatal outcomes was evaluated. Over the study period, a steady increase in cannabis use during pregnancy was observed. Its use during pregnancy was associated with important adverse newborn outcomes. Cannabis use in pregnancy might become an important public health concern with legalization of cannabis use for recreational purposes and should be addressed accordingly.
