Langhammer K, et al. – In this research, the physicians wished to determine how nursing workloads in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) depended on the type of respiratory support provided and how this association varied by the infant's postnatal age and weight. Findings revealed that invasive support was associated with higher workloads than non–invasive support. By individual factors, such as the infant's age, the differences were partially moderated.
