Swindell N, et al. - The association between physical activity (PA), sedentary time (ST), and cardiometabolic risk was investigated in adults with prediabetes. Objectively measured PA and ST were correlated with cardiometabolic risk markers in adults with prediabetes. Total PA was at least as strongly associated with cardiometabolic risk markers as moderate-to-vigorous PA (MVPA), which could indicate that the accumulation of total PA over the day was as important as achieving the intensity of MVPA.
