Objectively measured physical activity and risk of knee osteoarthritis

Qin J, et al. - This study aimed to examine the relationship between objectively measured physical activity and risk of developing incident knee osteoarthritis (OA) in a community-based cohort of middle-aged and older adults. It was concluded that the moderate-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) was not related to the risk of developing incident knee OA or joint space narrowing over four years of follow-up among Osteoarthritis Initiative (OAI) participants who are at increased risk of knee OA.
