Nuclear β-catenin and CDX2 expression in ovarian endometrioid carcinoma identify patients with favorable outcome
Histopathology Oct 22, 2018
Wang L, et al. - In this analysis, researchers investigated immunohistochemical expression of nuclear β-catenin and CDX2—mediators of the Wnt pathway—as prognostic biomarkers for endometrioid carcinoma (EC). They assessed two ovarian EC cohorts, discovery set (N=183) and validation set (N=174), with ovarian cancer-specific survival (OCSS) as the primary end-point. For ovarian EC, nuclear β-catenin and CDX2 expression individually or in combination were found to be validated prognostic markers.
