Novel technology of molecular radio-guidance for lymph node dissection in recurrent prostate cancer by PSMA-ligands
World Journal of Urology Feb 01, 2018
Rauscher I, et al. - In this study, the researchers aimed to study the patients with localized biochemical recurrent prostate cancer (PC) for the effects of prostate-specific membrane antigen-radioguided surgery (PSMA-RGS). They concluded that PSMA-RGS was very useful in patients with recurrence of localized PC, for the purpose of exact localization and resection of small metastatic lesions using intraoperative and ex vivo γ-probe measurements. Nonetheless, in order to obtain satisfactory results, patient identification on the basis of Ga-HBED-CC-PSMA PET imaging as well as clinical parameters was important.
