Journal of AAPOS Sep 26, 2017
Grace SF, et al. - This trial intended to explore the feasibility, sensitivity, and specificity of nonsedated handheld cone flicker electroretinogram (ERG) as a screening instrument for identifying retinal dysfunction, in children with nystagmus. The findings displayed that unsedated handheld cone flicker ERG served as a feasible screening test. It effectively detected the retinal dysfunction in the study cohort. A reduction could be brought about in the need for sedated ERG in children through this test, in combination with clinical findings.
