Wijarnpreecha K, et al. - Experts herein attempted to inspect the diagnostic performance of noninvasive fibrosis markers for detecting prevalent chronic kidney disease (CKD) among nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Results shed light on an independent connection between advanced liver fibrosis, defined by NAFLD fibrosis score (NFS) and FIB-4 scores, with CKD among subjects with NAFLD. It was inferred that FIB-4 presented as the best predictor of an increased risk of prevalent CKD.
