Scantlebury A, et al. - In children with neurodisabilities, researchers sought to describe non-pharmacological interventions to manage sleep disturbance via a systematic review. Studies evaluated various types of non-pharmacological intervention for managing sleep disturbance. Clinical heterogeneity and predominately poor study quality hindered drawing definitive conclusions on the effectiveness of these interventions. Some evidence suggests the benefits of parent-directed interventions as the first approach to managing sleep disturbance.
