Fan JZ, et al. - Researchers coveted an assessment of the pathological features and distribution of renal injury in selected type 2 diabetic patients. A significantly high prevalence of non-diabetic renal disease (NDRD) was unveiled in type 2 diabetic patients with renal injury. As a result of few cases of NDRD being readily treatable or remittable, renal biopsy was recommended in selected diabetic patients with renal involvement, particularly among those with effective blood glucose control and absence of diabetic retinopathy.
