Clinical Nutrition Aug 04, 2018
Alicandro G, et al. - In children with cystic fibrosis (CF), researchers examined gender differences in growth patterns and in forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) trends and survival through a longitudinal study. For this investigation, a historical cohort study of 203 CF patients born between 1986 and 1995 was performed. No gender-related differences in growth patterns were observed in these patients, and CF girls and boys have seen equal benefit from treatment advances over the last three decades.
