Kammerer T, et al. - The impacts of albumin 5% and balanced hydroxyethyl starch 6% (130/0.4) on renal function and kidney injury in patients undergoing elective cystectomy were assessed in this present study. Comparable safety profiles of albumin 5% and balanced hydroxyethyl starch 6% were noted, with respect to renal function and kidney injury, in this population of noncritically ill patients undergoing major surgery.
