Glenet S, et al. - The researchers looked for compensatory lung growth a cohort of adults operated for lung cancer. They found that compensatory lung growth did not occur over one year after lung surgery. Due to likely hemodynamic alterations, a slight recruitment or distension of capillaries could be suggested by lung function data. Furthermore, it was noted that an angiogenesis process was unlikely.
