Romano A, et al. - The incidence of newly diagnosed hepatocellular carcinoma and related risk factors in individuals with advanced hepatitis C treated with direct-acting antiviral agents (DAAs) was determined. The risk of de novo hepatocarcinoma during the first year was not higher, but was lower in patients with advanced hepatitis C receiving DAAs compared to untreated patients.
