Yu S, et al. - Herein, researchers ascertained if neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) correlated with early clinical outcomes in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Patients in higher tertiles of NLR exhibited a tendency of having a severe neurologic deficit at discharge. Based on the yielded data, it was determined that NLR was speculative of the short-term functional outcomes in patients with acute ischemic stroke.
