Neuropathology and brain weight in traumatic-crush asphyxia

Al-Sarraj S, et al. - The objective of this study was to examine the neuropathology and brain weight in traumatic asphyxia (TA) caused by different accidents such as industrial accidents and road traffic collision. Brain examination was informative as part of the investigation of TA. The most likely indicators of a prolonged period of patient's survival were developing ischaemic changes and an increase in brain weight.
