Seminars in Arthritis and Rheumatism Feb 12, 2020
Qin W, Wu D, Luo Y, et al. - In order to find out the neurological manifestations of Chinese adult patients with systemic autoinflammatory diseases (SAIDs), researchers diagnosed a total of 80 adult individuals (≥16 years) as SAIDs between April 2015 and June 2019, at the center of adult autoinflammatory diseases, Department of Rheumatology, Peking Union Medical College Hospital. The clinical and genetic features of these individuals were collected. In SAIDs individuals, neurological damage was diverse. It was demonstrated that neurological symptoms should be fully realized by physicians, in not only pediatric but also adult individuals with SAIDs. Further, CSF analysis and brain images should be completed immediately. To avoid irreversible neurological complications, early diagnosis and appropriate treatment are necessary.
