Vadini F, et al. – The current study was expected to investigate whether demographic, conviction–related and neuro–behavioral variables might be correlated with current suicide risk and lifetime suicide attempts in two large central Italy prisons. The findings suggested that cognitive assessment in prisons could improve understanding of suicidal vulnerability and should be systematically involved in the assessment of suicide risk, as potential predictors of suicidal acts and targets of preventive interventions.
