Iyer NP, et al. – Here the specialists illustrated the neural breathing pattern before and after extubation in newborn infants. They described that the extubation failure was associated with a smaller increase in peak and delta diaphragm electrical activity (EAdi) after extubation. In preterm infants, these findings indicate an important cause of extubation failure.
