Nationwide skin cancer screening in Germany: Evaluation of the training program

Anders MP, et al. – The goal of this work was to elucidate information regarding the curriculum of a nationwide skin cancer screening program. In addition, this paper assessed the revised training program. The physicians taking part in this program gained an in–depth comprehension of skin cancer screening and counseling through the training. It also increased their diagnostic skills. General practitioners (GPs) identified and diagnosed considerably more skin lesions correctly after the training compared to before the training. The dermatologists diagnostic skills, however, were high at both times, before and after.
