Journal of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society Aug 19, 2017
Leshem E, et al. – Authors performed comparison of acute gastroenteritis (AGE)–related hospitalization rates among children <5 years of age during the preÂrotavirus vaccine (2000Â2006) and postÂrotavirus vaccine (2008Â2013) periods to estimate national reductions in AGE–related hospitalizations and associated costs. Findings suggested that AGE–related hospitalizations declined by 382000, and $1.228 billion in medical costs were averted between 2008 and 2013.
