Pavo N, et al. - Researchers examined whether N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) levels were associated with disease severity in multiple myeloma (MM). They also evaluated the natural course of NT-proBNP levels throughout disease progression. Among patients with MM, elevated levels of the cardiovascular marker NT-proBNP were correlated with disease severity.
