N-acetylcysteine and prednisolone treatment improved serum biochemistries in suspected flupirtine cases of severe idiosyncratic liver injury

Borlak J, et al. – This study strived to analyze whether N–acetylcysteine (NAC) and glucocorticoid therapy were effective in the management of severe idiosyncratic drug–induced liver injury (sFILI). The physicians concluded that to confirm safety and efficacy of NAC/prednisolone treatment in sFILI, a prospective RCT was required.
