Kavroulakis E, et al. – This recent study aimed to distinguish markers of regional demyelination in patients with probable Alzheimer's disease (AD) and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in relation to age and severity of neuropsychiatric impairment. It was revealed that age–related demyelination is correlated with memory impairment (especially in prodromal dementia states) and symptoms of depression in an anatomically specific manner.
