Advances in Therapy Nov 21, 2017
Fiorentzis M, et al. - This paper incorporated an inspection of the effect of three muscle relaxants on intraocular pressure (IOP), ocular pulse amplitude (OPA), and vis-a-tergo (VAT) in patients undergoing penetrating keratoplasty (PKP) under general anesthesia. A link was disclosed between mivacurium with a higher risk of VAT during PKP. Thus, it was determined that atracurium or rocuronium could minimize complications in ocular surgery with large incisions.
