Multiple regions of interest on multi-parametric magnetic resonance imaging are not associated with increased detection of clinically significant prostate cancer on fusion biopsy
The Journal of Urology Mar 10, 2018
Patel N, et al. - The relationship between multiple regions of interest (ROI) on pre-biopsy magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and the detection of clinically significant prostate cancer (CSPC) in men who underwent MRI ultrasound fusion biopsy (Fbx) was determined. Higher odds of detecting CSPC were not facilitated by the multiple ROI. Physicians should recognize that the decision to perform Fbx should not to be influenced by multiple ROI.
