Multiple arterial conduits for multi-vessel coronary artery bypass grafting in patients with mild to moderate left ventricular systolic dysfunction: A multicenter retrospective study
Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery May 07, 2021
Zhang H, Chen W, Zhao Y, et al. - Researchers conducted this multicenter analysis to assess the mid-term consequences of multiple arterial coronary artery bypass grafting (MABG) in patients experiencing mild to moderate left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSD). Following matching in a 1:3 ratio, 243 and 676 patients were formed in MABG and single arterial coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) cohorts. Decreased mid-term rates of major adverse events and cardiovascular events were reported in relation to MABG. For patients with mild to moderate LVSD needing CABG, the procedure of choice may be MABG.
