Multicenter, randomized, controlled study comparing tafluprost/timolol fixed combination with latanoprost/timolol fixed combination in primary open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension
Advances in Therapy Jun 08, 2018
Suzuki K, et al. - In this first exploratory randomized controlled study, the effectiveness and safety of a preserved tafluprost/timolol fixed combination (TAF/TIM) with a preserved latanoprost/timolol fixed combination (LAT/TIM) was compared. For the purpose of this investigation, Japanese patients with primary open-angle glaucoma, including normal-tension glaucoma or ocular hypertension were involved. It was observed in the findings that TAF/TIM was as effective as LAT/TIM in terms of intraocular pressure (IOP)-reducing effect, with some ocular symptoms. The findings demonstrated that TAF/TIM had correlated with a significant improvement in superficial punctate keratopathy (SPK) scores.
