Neto HO, et al. - The combined bevacizumab-triamcinolone intravitreal injection's efficacy underwent explorative analysis, in the treatment of diabetic macular edema (DME) compared to monotherapy. The findings disclosed that mono- or combination therapy was effective for DME treatment. There were no synergistic effects. Triamcinolone alone or a drug combination could reduce the number of injections required when compared to bevacizumab alone.
