Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Mar 02, 2018
Abbas AM, et al. - A large multicenter study was performed to determine the feasibility, safety, and outcomes of laparoscopy-assisted ERCP (LA-ERCP) in patients with Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. Observations revealed that in these patients, LA-ERCP was feasible with a high procedure success rate comparable with that of standard ERCP in patients with normal anatomy. The ERCP-related adverse events rate was comparable with conventional ERCP; however, because of the added laparoscopy-related events, a higher overall adverse event rate was observed.
