Zhang G, et al. - This trial intended to associate the pathologic and radiologic characteristics of mucocele-like lesions. The purpose was to ascertain if excision was mandatory. The mucocele-like lesions without atypia did not exhibit the tendency to be upgraded on excision. These correlated with a low risk for the subsequent development of carcinoma.
