Hupkens BJP, et al. - The diagnostic performance of follow-up magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was comprehensively analyzed for the detection of local recurrence of rectal cancer after transanal endoscopic microsurgery (TEM). The findings disclosed that the follow-up with MRI after TEM for rectal cancer was feasible. Postoperative changes could appear to be confusing at the first postoperative MRI. However, during follow-up, the diagnostic performance and reproducibility increased.
