MRI proton density fat fraction is robust across the biologically plausible range of triglyceride spectra in adults with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis
Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Sep 02, 2017
Hong CW, et al. – Here, the clinicians intend to inquire about the impacts of varying six–peak hepatic triglyceride (TG) spectral models on proton density fat fraction (PDFF) estimation bias. As evidence accumulates, over a wide range of hepatic fat content, PDFF estimation is robust across the biologically plausible range of TG spectra. Its magnitude was small and unlikely to be clinically meaningful, while absolute estimation bias increased with higher PDFF.
