MRI characteristics of primary tumors and metastatic lesions in molecular subgroups of pediatric medulloblastoma: A single-center study
American Journal of Neuroradiology Jun 01, 2018
Mata-Mbemba D, et al. - Researchers reported their experience with the imaging features of the primary and metastatic disease in relation to the molecular groups in patients with a confirmed diagnosis of medulloblastoma. They assigned each patient to wingless, sonic hedgehog, group 3, or group 4 molecular groups. Seemingly along with imaging features of primary tumours, some imaging patterns of metastatic dissemination in medulloblastoma were characteristic, perhaps even specific to certain groups. In differentiating molecular groups, specifically groups 3 and 4, when the characteristics of the primary tumour overlap, these results could prove to be helpful.
