Travers CP, et al. - Researchers perform this study to assess if exposure to antenatal corticosteroids is associated with a lower rate of death and pulmonary morbidities by 36 weeks postmenstrual age. Among infants 22-28 weeks gestational age, a lower rate of death was observed with any or partial antenatal exposure to corticosteroids compared to no exposure while there appeared no differences regarding the rate of bronchopulmonary dysplasia in survivors.
