Lambers A, et al. - Regarding the safety of using iliac crest reference array pins in navigated Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA), it was shown in this study that use of navigational pins for array fixation, though carried low complication rates, often will cause pain and irritation that resolves in the short-term and surgeons and patients should be aware of these impacts.
