Molecular profiling of thymoma with myasthenia gravis: Risk factors of developing myasthenia gravis in thymoma patients
Lung Cancer Jan 06, 2020
Lee MC, Hsiao TH, Chuang HN, et al. - Researchers sought to determine specific and effective molecular markers for predicting in the development of myasthenia gravis patients with thymoma. Molecular profiling based on RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq) revealed the association of 140 differential expressed genes with myasthenia gravis in thymoma patients. Among thymoma patients, those with myasthenia gravis exhibited aberrant expression of hypoxia-inducible factor 3 alpha. Findings suggest its possible involvement in the development of myasthenia gravis in thymoma patient.
