Yuan Y, et al. - This work was designed to determine the outcome of modified double-layer hand-sewn esophagogastric anastomosis during minimally invasive esophagectomy for esophageal cancer. For esophagogastrostomy, this modified double-layer hand-sewn anastomosis proved highly safe and stable. It seemed an effective way to prevent both anastomotic leakage and stricture.
