Ibor PJ, et al. - This work was planned to determine the value of the concept of mixed pain by investigating its acceptance and interpretation by health care professionals and the differential characteristics in patients with mixed pain. Researchers noticed that compared to patients with other types of pain, patients with mixed pain had more clinical complexity. They suggested considering mixed pain as an independent pathophysiological category on empirical clinical grounds.
