Bosker RJI, et al. - This non-randomized, descriptive study was conducted to address if laparoscopic right colectomy is superior to open surgery and arrive at a consensus using data from a national database. Findings revealed that compared to laparoscopic right colectomy, open right colectomy appeared to have a higher risk for complications and mortality, even after correction for confounding factors.
