Minimally invasive adrenalectomy for adrenocortical carcinoma: Five-year trends and predictors of conversion

Calcatera NA, et al. - Using a large national database, a review was performed of the usage of minimally invasive (MI) approaches for adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) over time and risk factors for conversion. Researchers recognized an increase in the frequency of MI approaches for ACC. In the final year of the study, 44% of adrenalectomies were MI. They identified size > 5 cm as the only relevant predictor for conversion.
