Minimal disease activity is a stable measure of therapeutic response in psoriatic arthritis patients receiving treatment with adalimumab
Rheumatology Jul 19, 2018
Behrens F, et al. - Authors assessed the minimal disease activity (MDA) assessments in patients with PsA during routine clinical care. A stable and valid assessment of clinical status was provided by MDA over 24 months in this observational cohort of patients with long-standing disease. At month 6, MDA was achieved by about half of patients (51.5%) with an ACR20 response. Achievement of MDA at month 6 was predicted by higher functional status and fewer tender joints at baseline. The most difficult individual criterion to achieve was pain and the least difficult was enthesitis.
