The migraine exhibited a correlation with a higher risk of Major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCE), driven by a higher risk of stroke (both ischaemic and haemorrhagic) and myocardial infarction (MI). No variation was brought to light in the risk of all-cause mortality. It was determined that the presence of aura served as an effect modifier for stroke and all-cause mortality. A moderate to severe degree of heterogeneity was reported for the outcomes. This was partly elucidated through the presence of aura.
