Chraim M, et al. - In this trial, the outcomes of retrograde intramedullary compression nailing for reconstructing deformities of the ankle and hindfoot in patients with Charcot arthropathy were assessed over a mid-term follow-up. When used for hindfoot reconstruction in patients with Charcot arthropathy, the use of retrograde intramedullary compression nail resulted in good rates of limb salvage.
