MicroRNA profile in neosquamous esophageal mucosa following ablation of Barrettâs esophagus
World Journal of Gastroenterology Aug 18, 2017
Sreedharan L, et al. – Aim of this study is to examine the microRNA expression profile in esophageal neosquamous epithelium from patients who had undergone ablation of BarrettÂs esophagus. The authors propose that neosquamous mucosa occurring after ablation of BarrettÂs esophagus expresses microRNAs that may contribute to decreased barrier function and microRNAs that can be involved in the regulation of survival signaling pathways.
