MicroRNA-4497 functions as a tumor suppressor in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma via negatively modulation the GBX2
Auris Nasus Larynx Jun 07, 2018
Chen X, et al. - Researchers gauged the role of MicroRNAs (miRNAs)- 4497 in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC). They measured the MiR-4497 expression in tumor tissues and adjacent normal tissues by RT-PCR. A suppressive role in LSCC could be played by miR-4497 by targeting GBX2, which offers new insights into the tumorigenesis of LSCC. Findings suggested an inverse association of miR-4497 expression with GBX2 expression in LSCC tissues. Furthermore, the activation of ERK, JNK but not p38 could be led by overexpression of miR-4497.
