MicroCT to investigate the heterogeneity of villous vascular density in normal placentae
Placenta Sep 05, 2017
Pratt R, et al. – This study is performed to investigate the heterogeneity of vascular density between and within normal term placentae by applying the MicroCT 3D imaging. They found there is quantifiable variation in vascular density between normal term placentae, and within a placenta. Placental villous vascular density is associated with placental geometry, with lower vascular density in peripheral tissue.
