Charsizadeh A, et al. - This research was executed in order to figure out the prevalence, microbial epidemiology, risk factors, and clinical outcomes related to candidemia in intensive care units at Children's Medical Center, Tehran, Iran. The findings displayed that non-albicans Candida species were responsible for nearly half of the cases of pediatric candidemia. This first prospective study of candidemia in children served to inform regarding necessary interventions for the prevention of candidemia.
