Voils SA, et al. - Researchers intended to discern the connection between metabolomics and the risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in critically ill trauma patients. The findings of this study included 2 novel kynurenine metabolites in the tryptophan pathway associated with hospital-acquired VTE and 3 candidate genes that were identified via pathway and interaction network analyses.
